Ask TakeNote_AI

Ask TakeNote_AI is an assistant you can open from anywhere in the app to ask questions in plain English about your meetings. It reads your own transcripts and meeting data to answer, so you can find what was said without scrubbing through a recording.

Opening the assistant

Open the assistant from the Ask TakeNote_AI button in the sidebar. It opens as a panel next to the navigation and stays available as you move around the app, so you can ask a question without leaving the page you are on.

What it can see

The assistant automatically scopes itself to where you are, and the header always tells you which scope you are in:

  • Across all meetings. Anywhere other than a single meeting, the header reads Across all meetings. It can answer about any meeting in your library, find moments across your book of clients, and point you to specific meetings to open.
  • Scoped to this meeting. On a meeting page, the header reads Scoped to this meeting. It has that meeting's full transcript and can cite timestamps so you can verify a point in the recording.

Asking a question

Type your question in the composer at the bottom of the panel and send it. Before you have asked anything, the assistant offers a few suggested prompts for the current scope — for example What did I discuss with my newest client? across the library, or What were the main action items? on a single meeting. You can select a suggestion or write your own question, and you can keep asking follow-ups in the same conversation.

Answers and citations

On a meeting, answers can cite timestamps that point to the moment in the transcript, so you can confirm the assistant's answer against what was actually said. Across your library, the assistant can refer you to specific meetings to open when the detail lives there.
