Extracting tasks from documents

TakeNote reads a document uploaded to a client record and suggests follow-up tasks based on its contents, so actions raised in paperwork are captured alongside those from meetings.

Generating suggestions

Upload a document to the client's Documents tab and wait for it to finish processing. TakeNote then reads the document text and lists the follow-up actions it identifies in the Suggested tasks panel for that client.

Reviewing suggestions

Each suggestion references the document it was drawn from. Check the suggestion against the source document before acting on it, particularly where a task depends on a figure, a date, or a signature in the paperwork.

Accepting and dismissing

Select Accept to add a suggestion to the client's Tasks tab, or Dismiss to remove one you do not need. Accepted tasks keep a reference to the document they came from, so you can trace each task back to its source.

Transcripts and documents

Task suggestions come from two places: a meeting transcript and an uploaded document. Both feed the same Tasks tab on the client record, and each accepted task shows whether it came from a meeting or a document.
