Client notes

Client notes keep persistent context on the client record, separate from the notes attached to an individual meeting.

Adding a note

Open Notes on the client record and select Add note. Enter a clear title and the information you want to retain, then save the note. Client notes also appear in the client's Overview where applicable.

Client notes, including a note with a linked follow-up action.

Follow-up actions

A note can include an optional follow-up action and due date. When you save the note, TakeNote creates a linked item in the client's Tasks tab. Editing the action or due date updates the linked task.

Editing and deleting

Open the note menu to edit or delete it. Editing preserves the note on the same client record. Deleting removes the note; if it has a linked follow-up action, check the related task before confirming the change.

Client notes and meeting notes

Client notes describe ongoing context about the person or engagement. Meeting notes belong to one specific meeting and are opened from that meeting's record. Use the location that matches the scope of the information.
