Extracting tasks from transcripts

TakeNote reads a completed meeting transcript and suggests follow-up tasks, so the actions agreed in the meeting are captured without retyping them.

Generating suggestions

Open the meeting from the client timeline. Once the transcript has finished processing, the Suggested tasks panel becomes available. Select Generate suggestions and TakeNote analyses the transcript and lists the follow-up actions it identifies.

If the transcript is still processing, the panel shows that it is waiting for the transcript to complete. You can regenerate suggestions at any time with the refresh control in the panel header.

Reviewing suggestions

Each suggestion is a proposed task drawn from what was discussed. Read each one against the transcript before acting on it. Suggestions are proposals, not committed tasks — nothing is added to the client record until you accept it.

Accepting and dismissing

Select Accept to add a suggestion to the client's Tasks tab, where it becomes a task you can edit, set a due date on, and complete. Select Dismiss to remove a suggestion you do not need. Use Accept all to add every remaining suggestion at once.

Accepted tasks keep a reference back to the meeting they came from, so you can open the source meeting from the task later.
